★★★½

This is a gorgeously rendered movie. The landscapes are breathtaking and every leaf and dew drop are beautiful. It reminded me of our trip to the Amalfi Coast.

However looks aside, this is an odd entry in the Pixar movies lineup. It's cheery, fairly low stakes and warm but it lacks the depth and rewatchability of the best Pixar movies. I'd describe it as "breezy".

Why do the characters talk in English but with Italian accents? Why are the fish people helping people fish? Does the rest of the world just shrug at the fish person going to school now?

All that and other deeper questions aside, the movie is lovely to see and a chill watch.
